Our Team

Melissa Hutchens is VP Data Operations & Applications Development within WCG Research Solutions Benchmarking. She joined the company in 2001 and has over 22 years of experience in R&D benchmarking and analytics for the biopharmaceutical industry. She has built extensive benchmarking frameworks that span Research, Development and operational levels within. 

Melissa has led the design of 13 web-based client facing tools that provide the gold standard in R&D portfolio strategy, clinical trial planning and performance assessment, as well as site selection using advanced analytic models. She works closely with sponsor and CRO leadership to meet Industry challenges and create solutions utilizing proprietary data and frameworks. Her expertise consistently helps clients improve study forecasts, manage costs, and set strategic performance goals.

 Melissa has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Alaina Radnov has a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical benchmarking and analytics industry. She joined the company in 2014 and is Associate Director, Clinical Benchmarking & Analytics within WCG Research Solutions Benchmarking. Alaina leads the clinical trial level programs, though her impact extends into the portfolio level space as well, including the design and management of the data warehouse, client applications, reports, and custom analysis.

Alaina’s passion for continuous enhancements has streamlined processes, driving efficiency and quality. Her data-driven approach extends to addressing client business questions, using precise and thoughtful methods to make assessments. She has collaborated on unique solutions in study planning and performance assessments, site scoring and selection, evaluations of trial and project costs, and much more.

Alaina has a B.A. in Mathematics & Statistics from Northwestern University.

Trevor Dinelli is a Senior Data Analyst II with WCG Research Solutions Benchmarking. Since joining the company in 2017, his primary focus has been KMR Group’s portfolio level analytics and consulting services for biopharmaceutical R&D organizations.

Trevor champions KMR group’s data first approach, helping to facilitate and lead platforms such as the R&D General Metrics Study, conducted with the Pharmaceutical Benchmarking Forum, and the CRO Trial Rankings or Vaccines R&D Benchmarking. He works end-to-end with clients and team from completing data collection surveys and processing data to the production of R&D performance measuring reports and web-based tools.

Trevor earned a B.S. in Biochemistry and Religious Studies from Bradley University.

Gar joined KMR Group in 2016 and works closely with the WCG Research Solutions Benchmarking team to provide benchmarking, advanced analytics, and consulting services to the biopharmaceutical industry. He is Manager, Benchmarking & Analytics, focusing on statistical analysis and model development for both clinical trial and R&D portfolio-level data.

Gar has led efforts on model development for timeline forecasting, trial and project cost, site selection, trial optimization, portfolio success, and future product sales. He is also heavily involved in the development of a proprietary internal site coding tool to standardize clinical trial site records to unique site locations. Gar brings a passion for continual process improvement to client engagements and internal efforts alike.

Gar holds a B.A. in Economics from Carleton College.
